Apple’s Latest iOS 13.5.1

Just after last month’s iOS update Apple is going forward and releasing another update, iOS 13.5.1

In a tweet put out by Apple Software Updates, this update looks to give us “security updates and bug fixes”  but most notable it removes the unc0ver jailbreak option that was available on iOS 13.5

What is jailbreaking? It’s essentially a hack of a device (such as a smart phone) which can allow you to make changes that were not intended. Once your device has gone through this jailbreaking process it will be modified in a way that removes restrictions placed on it by the manufacturer. This allows the user unrestricted access to the file system which can enable them to make changes that are not supported by the device in it’s normal state. Once this is done you will be able to run things like third party apps which are not available from Apple’s app store.

While this is not the most critical iOS update, if you have no intention of jailbreaking your iPhone feel free to install iOS 13.5.1
