QSnatch is the latest malware affecting many network-attached storage devices (NAS) made by QNAP.

For those who are unaware, a network-attached storage device, or NAS, for short, is essentially a computer connected to a network that provides file storage for devices connected to that network.  Having a NAS set up enables you to easily backup all systems connected so you can ensure you never lose your precious data!

Recently, it was revealed by multiple cybersecurity groups around the world that some malware is infecting NAS devices made by the QNAP brand. This QSnatch malware looks to gain access to your devices in order to steal your personal files. QNAP has released a security advisory on how best to protect yourself from this malware.
