Windows 7 End-Of-Life Phishing Scam

Windows 7 reached it’s end of life earlier this year and now hackers are looking to take advantage of out of date systems!

With Windows 7 no longer receiving patch support from Microsoft users of this operating system can be vulnerable to attack! Microsoft did release an extended security update for Windows 7 machines that was available for purchase earlier this year, but even with that you can fall victim if you are not careful. Hacker’s latest attempt at getting into your outdated machine is by phishing attacks. This phishing attack looks to disguise itself as a helpful tool that will upgrade you to Windows 10 at no cost. Do not be fooled as this is a simple ploy designed to gain access to your personal information including your email address and password. Once someone has your information they will be able to use it maliciously.
